The Yogi Diet Workshop

The Yogi Diet therapeutic workshop isn't about counting calories. Rather, it focuses on different lifestyle concepts that date back thousands of years. In particular: ahimsa, sattva, the doshas, and mindfulness.

Proposed changes to your diet and lifestyle from The Yogi Diet hope to improve overall well-being. Not only physical but emotional and spiritual as well.

Led by experienced certified yoga therapist, Deborah Charnes, this informative therapeutic workshop is offered pre-recorded and on-demand, to meet your unique and personal scheduling needs. Plus, as a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), this session is eligible for 1.5 CEUs.

The 90-minute video session includes a discussion on the key principles of yoga and Ayurveda (the life science from India). Ayurveda is about finding balance and diet and lifestyle habits are very important. Deborah's chats are meant to enlighten and encourage participants to rethink their traditional eating and drinking patterns.  Additionally, the 90-minute session begins with a short meditation and ends with a longer guided meditation about mindful eating.

Furthermore, included in the workshop are several downloadable tip sheets and quizzes specifically designed for identifying and improving your consumption.

Additionally, your purchase entitles you to lifetime access, to experience the session as many times as you desire, and to enjoy it--and learn more from it-- time and time again.

About the Deborah Charnes:
Diagnosed with a digestive disorder when she was just a child, Deborah has always been concerned about her diet. As a college student in Mexico City, she learned the best ways to soothe her pains were with herbal teas and relaxation techniques including pranayam and meditation.  Therefore, when she studied Yoga Therapy, she chose to specialize in the digestive fire (agni).  An entire chapter in her book, "From the Boxing Ring to the Ashram" focuses on Ayurvedic understanding and approach to the digestive system. Plus, another chapter is all about sattvic (pure, balanced) diet and living.

In 2011, Deborah left the high-pressure demands as an international corporate marketing communications strategist. Moving forward, she dedicated that same energy to positive transformation—of herself and others. In fact, she vowed to never stop learning or sharing.

Now, Deborah draws on her decades of training and practice to help others through simple techniques that can be practiced anywhere, anytime. The Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) also has the rank of E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).
"I am 59 years old and feel like I am a young 10-year-old learning a wonderful new experience. I truly appreciate Deborah sharing what she knows as I feel it has really helped me. "
~ Laura, Gutsy Yoga participant

"...Deborah is very knowledgeable and teaches at every level. As a beginner, I felt welcome and encouraged.
~ Renee, virtual workshop participant

Since I started yoga therapy, my life changed. I started to change the products that I have in my kitchen ... quinoa, chia, teas, ginger, and more salads. Beyond my new way to eat, I feel much better. Now, I sleep all night long. I feel so relaxed. More energized. I found a new world of “no stress” and happiness … I’m on my way with awesome results. Thanks, Deborah.
~ Alfonso, Gutsy Yoga participant

~ Jorene, retreat attendee

"The journey of life is all about being mindful, intentional, positive, healthy, and sustainable. Attending yoga with Yogi Deborah Charnes, I learned how to be aware in every moment having gratitude for the environment around me. Yoga throughout this trip (Costa Rica) taught me how to sit and rest with myself and to love my body as it loves me. I was able to become more flexible and aware of my surroundings.“
~ Aleeya, retreat attendee

Deborah stresses that the ideal diet for John is not the same as for Mary. That said, the concept of ahimsa (non-violence) is the first tenet in yoga.  In the video below, Deborah shares a bit about ahimsa and why she became vegetarian more than 50 years ago.
